"Born in the Western Cape, schooled in a small town called Ceres on the countryside, studying in Bloemfontein and finally settling in Cape Town, the road to the part-time artist has been varied.

As a child, a major part of that phase in my life was focused on developing the correct technique and patience that art demands. During the 5 years in Bloemfontein, studying a degree in architecture, I took a big break from art but was exposed to the architecture industry which is an art form of its own. Since moving to Cape Town at the end of 2017, my passion for art was reborn and I became more inspired than ever before.

Specializing in Portraits, figures and landscapes, I paint primarily in oils using artist quality materials, but also did several of my secondary work in watercolor. Experimenting with mediums and its possibilities has been a big part of my development the last year.

  

I believe that no artist can ever find him/herself as we are forever maturing in our skill and interests.
